PUNGRAIN Chairman Sukhjinder Raj Lalli Majithia resigns

The turmoil in Punjab’s Congress shows no signs of abating. Sukhwinder Raj Singh Lalli, the Chairman and Director of the Punjab State Grains Procurement Corporation Limited, has resigned (PUNGRAIN). Lalli hasn't yet left the party and may have stated his personal reasons for resigning, but if his close friends are to be believed, he was enraged at being ignored for the past five years.

While resigning from the position of PUNGRAIN chairman, Lalli stated that he was ceding the responsibility due to health considerations.

His resignation came just two days after two Congress MLAs from Qadian, Fateh Jung Bajwa, and Shri Hargobindpur (reserved), joined the BJP in Delhi. Sukhwinder Raj Singh Lalli is a senior Congress leader who has run for office in Halka Majitha three times.
